Our collective mission at Capistrano Avenue Elementary, as a multicultural and diverse learning community, prepares each student for academic, social and personal success by providing a safe, supportive, challenging and meaningful environment. Capistrano will foster a culture where children are empowered to be responsible and accountable partners in their learning. We will achieve this through the partnership of students, families, community members, teachers, staff and administrators.

Our Capistrano Avenue Elementary vision is to promote optimal student achievement and lifelong success through well-developed interpersonal skills, high self-esteem and a rich curriculum, which embraces diversity, academic rigor and enthusiastic partnerships between the school and community.
